Dosie-Doe
Wow, its been a crazy Easter holiday!! Hopin you all had a fantastic holiday and enjoyed good food & fun! Im trying to relax now that were home. The suns shining & yard work is calling! These are a couple albums I made for my kids photos. This one is my daughters with an "A" for Avery. I made tabs for baby, toddler, and teen photos. This is really weird because I never make anything for "us" I seem to sell everything, and then when someone asks me "what kind of things do you like to make?" Im like "duh" theres nothing to show! Part of this whole crafting process to me is creating & selling, The other half is creating and enjoying. Im going to really work hard to keep a few things here & there from now on, so I have some memeories too!
This is the "Dosie Doe" Album because its double sided. So i made each page, had them binded in Red, and just put the 2 boys initials on each side. "L" is for Layne, and "T" is for Tyler. I really enjoyed making this & Im totally not a scrapbooker.
Heres The other front.
And I leave you with this new thrifted Tea Set I found, of which Im totally in love with! I dont know when this started but I slowly have found vintage teapots all over my house.....Hmmmmmm, ....have I started a collection not even knowing it???
O.K. Im addicted to thrifting!!!! The leaves, and rake are calling......

Those little books are adorable!!!! And the teapots are AWESOME, I'm so jealous!!! Where are you shopping, I'm coming over ;) You have great taste... keep the pics coming :)
You are so talented. I saw one of the fabrics in my local quilt shop and wasn't able to think of a great way to use it...you have it on one of the books...it's perfect there. I have a friends who loves thrifting and I may tag along with her to see if I can find some special neat things like you are showing!
The books are beautiful, I love the way you combined the paper!
The tea pot is so nifty, love the retro black and white.

I love the tea set! Great score on that. And the albums are really cute too.
I adore this tea set!!! Lucky, lucky girl...what a find.
Wow. That black and white teapot is really gorgous. Thrifting is contagious, isn't it. I'm going to have to start getting rid in order to get more!
Ooooh what a beautiful tea set! What a lucky find - I am totally and hopelessly addicted to thrifting too, it's such fun! :)
I am IN LOVE with those books!!
The colors really strike me....
PS...thrifted teapot set... FABULOUS FIND!!!!!
Happy Easter! Love your beautiful albums, so detailed, so colorful and perfect. And your tea set is so sweet!
ohmygosh I LOVE the white teapot with the 3d flowers - ohmygosh it's gorgeous!!!
LOL Ang! I do the same thing as far as making and selling--we HAVE to make things for ourselves once in a while too. I just got laughed at by my BIL about our camera case--I make all these lovely little drawstring bags to sell in my Etsy shop and my camera lives in a torn up, dirty old drawstring bag--and a store made cheap-o one at that!!! How embarrassing!
I love the little albums you made for the kids! They are so adorable and something they will treasure in the years ahead.
Smiles, Karen
i beg to differ girl, you are a very good scrapbooker! love what you did.

The albums turned out great! Same thing with me, I am about 2 years behind on my kids scrapbooks!
I especially love Avery's album!
Thought I'd just say "Hi!" as this is my first of many future visits to your blog. Love, love, love the creativity you have going on here. I'm also into sewing, quilting, thrifting...etc. Glad to find you! Come visit me and my friends online sometime @ www.fourfriendsandablog@blogspot.com
One of the things I miss most about our upstate house is the proximity to "The Once Again Shop". It is run by the local council of churches and you can find almost anything there and so cheap!!! Sigh.
The double sided scrapbook is expecially cool!
God bless.
Terri
I really like the albums you made! I think now you can consider yourself a "scrapper"! Nice job. I used to think of myself of a "scrapper" but now I'm more of a "collager"!

Your blog is lovely. I love the double album. It almost seems circusy (like a double headed snake).
I do not tend to find such great things thrift shopping. Do you find something great every time you go thrifting or are there times when you don't find anything good?
