Repurposed Pink & Orange
Im so in love with making stuff with these vintage sheets + add that to making those reuseable shopping bags= happy girl.
Heres a little set I put in the shop, that has a fold up shopping bag that can slip easily into your purse or tote. I thought it was such a cute idea to roll it up with a ribbon & vintage button when I saw it in a japanese sewing book. Thats for me alright, super forgetful. This way you never have to use a plastic bag again!
That bag pattern didnt work for me, so I went back to my old original standard one that i made by taking apart a real grocery bag, I just cant get some of those directions. It opens up like a real grocery bag, and fits quite a bit of stuff!
I thought it would be cute to make a matching coupon/card/wallet for holding all those important stuff. My sister loves them to hold her passport, airline flying cards and the large pocket for her printed flight tickets. Dont you love pink & orange together? Years ago I would never have imagined myself in love with those colors until I started papercrafting with them.
Im working hard on my blog, so bear with me during my process-and it seems complicated to me because im not HTML savy in any way thats for sure, but I hope to get my new link list up & posted tonight! Thanks to Karen for all your great help!

What a fantastic idea - love that bag!
my friend just told me she's having pink and orange as the colors for her spring wedding!
What great ideas! A coupon wallet in conjunction with the shopping bag is brilliant. I love the colors and fabric print, too.
I think I need to go shopping...I'll stop by your shop. What a great idea, very clever!
I heart the pink & orange. They were the colors of my room when I was a kid. My mom went all mod on us in the late 60's... but I did love and still love it today. I just love, love, love what you made!
Your blog looks FAB Angie - you did a great job!
Angie, your work is beautiful. Check out hollyhocks.typepad.com I too collect vintage sheets and I posted about them a few weeks ago. Look for "Amvets Success or Wretched Excess?" Aren't the prints just the best?
how yummy ang are those, i love orange and pink too and such a clever idea, woohoo for you

I really like your coupon/passport holder... will you be making more of those for your shop?
Amazing!
What a great idea and love the colors! Do you want to exchange blog links? Come for a visit!
I LOVE pink and orange.. so fresh and crisp.. just makes me wanna dance! LOL!!!
I love seeing people carrying fabric bags at the grocery store. I can't understand why anyone would use plastic, knowing how long it takes to break down, and how they poison the Earth. Anyway, is there ever not a good reason for a new bag? No, absolutely not! The colours are gorgeous Angie. They look like summer gelato... Yum xox Nic
You are so welcome--and I must say it's looking gorgeous!!
Smiles, Karen
