Stitching & Sunshine

I actually had a wonderful day off , and it was so hot & sunny! I purchased a couple of those "zero gravity" loungers, and man are they awsome! They are so comfortable! Ive needed something for so long that we could all lounge on outside while reading or stitching.
See my new Amy Butler scrapbooking caddy? I bought it at Michaels the other day at 40% off. Its actually for scrapbooking but im using it for stitchery stuff, and eventually it may even make its way to my bathroom to hold all my products ...and all that other clutter that seems to come out of nowhere.

I hung laundry & layed around with not to much purpose. I saw all the yardwork around calling me & knew i should be working on that instead but tried to tune it out. I've so got the cross stitch bug right now!
So heres my little cross stitch cube I ended up with!
I used a couple different peices of random patterns & made it into one small peice. Im going to do that again. I need practice to ignore the vacumming, dishes, and housework & just "be" with the kids , watching them play. It was a great day......now back to the real world for a few more!

Hi Angie. Your little red & white stitchery is just lovely. A very productive day off! It is Friday morning in Australia, & I am sitting here procrastinating about where to start with the housework, but having read this, perhaps I will just stitch instead!

*snicker* how many things get repurposed as embroidery supplies? I'm always going "hey, this would be perfect to balance my hoop on/fit my whatsits in/etc.
Enjoy your sunny stitching, it feels so good!

I bought that same scrapbooking caddy too! Except I bought the other color, the pink and orange. Mine was 40% of too. That's what's great about Micheal's. I, also am using it to hold knitting needles, crochet hooks and yarn. Twyla

very nice work on the block. I too saw that tote at Michael's but it wasn't on sale so I passed. Now I'm sorry I did, it looks so handy!

Hi Ang--now THAT is a way to enjoy a day off!! Good for you! Yardwork keeps, but kids don't stay kids forever!!

Oh, man, send some of that heat our way, we could use some. Love the chairs, how come I've never heard of zero-gravity chairs before?

I love your little stitchery cubes, you always come up with the best ideas!

Smiles, Karen

That sounds like a wonderful way to spend a day! We tried that a little on Saturday afternoon...feels good, don't it? Just to lie back and enjoy the sun and the yard and the kids?
