A Good Thrifting day!

Whoo whooooo!! So great when you actually return home with some treasures! Adorable owl stitcheries, need some prety paint on the frames,beautiful crocheted apron, aqua trimmed apron with embroidered strawberries-cute-, a bunch of vintage trim & ricrac, cute vintage play dishes,and my all time FAV- huge set of vintage tupperware mini jello molds with adorable star shaped bottoms,and so many!!!!!!! There was even more at the thrift store if anyone out there wants to buy some(hopefully)! Ahhhhh, yes and a pretty patchwork duvet i still need to get a shot of . Score for today! The kids cant wait to get to the jello making..... gotta bolt the kettle's a whistlin'

I dont know how yummy these are

So here's a couple popsicles and dipped dilly bars to add to all the kiddy kitchen food I've been making for my shop..are you bored with all this felt food yet? I'll get back to the regular production soon, but for now- more kitchen play food to come! Hmmm..... thought.........Maybe I should make some patterns of the cakes and stuff too.

My sons first attempt at pablum! I guess I should say cream of wheat because he's so allergic to everything, I cant even find a brand of pablum without Lactose or milk powder! Yeah, he likes it but desnt know how to eat, he just keeps using his tongue and pushes it out & then gets all upset because Im not feeding him fast enough!! Gezzzzzzzzzz.....take it slow! Layne , your just growing wayyyyyy to fast! 4 1/2 months already! Speaking of yummy, I put another jumbo mini-cake in the shop .! Go check it out!

Felt Dessert...Addicting!

I had so much fun making my cheesecake, I decided to play around with some other yummys- a mini cake! ......And then I made some fun lunch yummys child's sets to sell later on my website or Etsy shop. What Im thinking I may do is laminate some childrens placemats, and sell as "Lunch for 2 childrens fun food sets"! And I knew it was a hit when my daughter saw them because I of course had to make her one of everything to play with in her little kitchen ~Here's a sneak peek: ( I will post later with the finished play sets) So far....

Lunch for 2:
2 Slices Whole Wheat bread
2 slices swiss cheese
2 Tomato slices
2 pieces lettuce
2 pickles
2 carrot sticks
2 apple halves
2 cookies with sprinkles for dessert

Wouldn't you love getting a little package with on of these lovely giant tags tied on top? I did!!, Why thanks so much Linda! I wish we lived closer, but at least we can inspire each other through the mail!! Im thinking I may use this idea and make some in a basket for a future winter craft show. I know it sounds early, but when October comes & I have nothing to sell at all these shows...it comes just way to fast. So now... Im off to water my garden! Tommorrow~

Wash Day

With all this lovely weather I thought I would gussy up my clothespeg jar with a little somethin' to make hanging out the wash just a wee little bit less work! I just made a tag to hang around the vintage jar with some torn fabric......now im just waiting for the sun again.....hellooooo...where are you sunshine. Tommorrow I suppose.

Ahhh..a little down time

Well I finally think I have recovered from the other days events, and can get on with some well deserved unfinished projects-which Im so pumped about joining the new "Unfinished Project" little groupie thingy! It is really making me dig out all these cut up but never sewn projects that are uncontrolably piling up. So heres a couple things I finished today...another plush lambkin made from a wonderful pattern here. And...a couple embroidery floss keepers/organizers, cause you know how I strive to be organized! I just cant seem to get anything accomplished if I dont have my supplies in order( O.K. just a little) but it still feels good to try. Anyways these wool felt & fabric floss keepers roll out & have pockets inside for holding & seperating all my colors, and a cute little ribbon tie up.
One will be for sale here ( the nicer one) and Im keeping the other to use myself. As most of you crafters know, we always sell everthing and tend not to keep anything for ourselves so Im gonna try and make 2 of everthing I need for once! ohhhhh and mothers day is coming , so I had better get straped into my sewing machine asap!! LOL

A little stressed & sleepy....

What a day! Im so tired, no crafting accomplished today or yesterday thats for sure after our ordeal....First i pulled my son out of school for a couple days for an educational family trip in our new travel trailer. After 2 days of writing lists, packing...and more packing, I finally had our trailer packed up and ready to roll on out. We planned to go for a couple of days to park & stay in our friends vacation lot down in the US which is about 12 hours south from here. And let me say..anyone with a newborn knows how much STUFF you need to bring for a baby & 2 MORE KIDLINGS! Anyways we headed out and got about 4 hours in & the motor blows up in our truck! Yikes, but luckily we died right at a RV park where we could crash out for the night & deal with everything in the morning. So finally after what seemed like forever we found a rental car, packed up, called BCAA to tow all the junk home & here I am back home unpacking all yesterdays hard work of packing up! To bed I go & maybe tommorrow something will get done! Especially now that im working on things for The Unfinished Project...so back at er tommorrow, and poor Tyler back off to school!(And he thought he the week off!) Tommorrow he can tell his class all about his amazing trip..kidding

New Puppies

I have a new puppy! Well not just one pooch, but a bunch 'o' pooches! Thanks to Jenny at "Allsorts" for this adorable little scotty pattern! I made a couple puppie softies for my babes, and went a little overly crazy & did up some christmas tree ornaments ( Yes I know, its just spring, but im thinking ahead for once!) Yep went a little overboard...here's a few . I really hate my camera, these pics are terrible, can anyone recommend a good digital camera???

UFO's??

Well, this is sure the perfect group for me...I have piles of unfinished , well everything, piling up. This should be much insentive to start getting some of these piles finished & out of the way! Today it snowed....... Yesterday i was at the garden center basking in the beautiful sun & buying these:
